If you’re enrolling as an individual, great news! The course is fully funded. This means you won’t need to contribute to the cost, allowing you to focus on gaining valuable skills without financial burden.For businesses with fewer than 250 employees, only a 10% contribution is required, with 90% funded by the government. This makes it affordable for smaller businesses to invest in team development and build a skilled workforce.Larger businesses with 250 or more employees will contribute 30% of the course cost, with the remaining 70% covered by the government. This option provides cost-effective training for businesses looking to enhance their teams' capabilities and stay competitive in the industry

What are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are free*, flexible short courses giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer. Skills Bootcamps are available to those who are unemployed, employed (looking to change career), and self-employed. Skills Bootcamps can be co-funded by employers to enable upskilling of employees. Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. Skills Bootcamps in Devon and Cornwall are lead by Devon County Council.

*Skills Bootcamps are free to individuals who wish to upskill and change career. Employers who wish to upskill their staff are expected to part-fund the cost of the training. Employed individuals who wish to use Skills Bootcamps to upskill in their current role should speak to their line managers about co-funding.

There are no specific entry requirements regarding previous qualifications. However, these courses are funded by Devon County Council and so there are limitations based on your postcode, but we will check this when you apply. These courses are only open to those over the age of 19 and you must live in Devon.
